About The Course
The Level 5 Multimedia Production course provides a grounding in the tools and techniques used for working across a range of sectors. From websites, advertising, image processing or animation, graduates of the Multimedia Production course have more opportunities than ever before.
The majority of work on the course is practical rather than theory-based, therefore students are given the opportunity to produce varied and substantial portfolios.
Students are given ‘hands-on’ training by experienced teachers who guide and support students through all aspects of Multimedia Production. Students also have access to their own editing suite (iMac with Adobe Premiere Pro) and SLR cameras.
Graduates of Multimedia Production can continue education or enter the professional world. Multimedia production skills are required across all professional industries; skills learned at Kinsale College with serve students in any career path they choose to take.

How to Apply & Application Deadline
Applications for all our courses will be available on the website and in the college from 1st week in January 2018 for all courses commencing in September 2018.
Interviews will be held for all courses later in the year generally in May/June.
This full level 5 certificate facilities entry to the Multimedia, Level 6 course in Kinsale.
It also facilities entry on a competitive basis to a range of third level colleges.
Students who successfully complete the Level 5 Award in Multimedia will be eligible to apply for the Level 6 Award.
Kinsale College has a formal link to CIT under the CCPS and students may be eligible to gain entry to Year 1 of Multimedia CR112 (portfolio and interview will be required).
Participants will be required to undertake 10 days of work placement in a suitable environment. The College will assist participants in identifying suitable placements.
Facilities in this Department
This department contains the most up to date hardware and software. Facilities include Apple iMac, a range of digital video cameras, still cameras, sound recording equipment, music/soundtrack production equipment. Students have access to green screen facilities. 3D computer animations are produced using Cinema 4D.
Software includes; Cinema 4D, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Microsoft Office.
