Overview

Why study abroad in one great European city during the summer when you can explore the cultural heritage of Paris, Rome, and Madrid?

In this seven-week program, you will explore how art and architecture have affected urban development, life, and culture in three fascinating European capitals, and how museums preserve, develop, study, and display their collections for the benefit of the public. Start your program in Paris, where you’ll begin to appreciate how these cities have developed around the central idea of cultural heritage and patrimony. It’s here you’ll start your two cross-Center courses that will then take you to Rome, and finally Madrid for two weeks in each city. Your courses will integrate class time with course-related excursions to art and cultural management institutions, including visits to well-known museums such as the Musée d’Orsay, Vatican Museum, and El Prado.

Housing

We want to make sure that your greatest challenge is deciding which landmarks to see first or discovering the best café—not finding a place to live where you feel comfortable. We do our best to locate housing that is reflective of how the local students are living. Our goal is that when you leave Paris, it will feel like home.

Apartments - Furnished apartments with kitchen area and shared or ensuite bathrooms. Meals are not included.

Orientation 1 day before classes begin in Paris, followed by one-day orientations in Rome and Madrid, introducing you to the staff and the city in each location
