The Chair of Basics of media design deals with elementary dimensions of media design - color, shape, surface, geometry, material, movement, representation / composition and aspects of perception. Learning through experience is in the form of design-experimental study in foreground.

  • Fundamental problems of visual design - Visual Grammar - Elementary semiotics, visual semantics, characters and notations - Visual perception, creative phenomenology - Medial typography and type design - Experimental Photography - light, color, projection - basic problems of cross-media design - Digital, analog and hybrid-shaping - and design methodology and practice - equipment, tools and technologies of image production and processing work on the basics of media design refers not only to the beginning of your studies. It finds its continuation on policy issues arising out of advanced media and design practice and the lead part in relevant research and development approaches and projects.
