Introduction
This course is for students aged 19+. The aim of this qualification is to provide students with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to seven years of age with applied knowledge in the early years, 0–5 years.
The qualification content meets the Department for Education’s (DfE) Level 2 full and relevant criteria for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner in the workforce. Students will need to complete 250 hours work placement with babies and young children to show competence in both knowledge and skills to meet the assessment criteria for the qualification. This will be supported by our dedicated placement team in the College.
