This course is a complete package combining intensive English lessons, personalized one-on-one tutoring, and a variety of field trips and activities that will introduce students to Croatian and European culture. Students spend the morning studying English grammar and vocabulary in a group setting. Course book lessons, speaking practice, and listening exercises form the core of these classes. Students build a solid language foundation and practice vocabulary that is related to afternoon activities and trips. Along with intensive English lessons, each student receives individual tutoring once a week, during which we will focus on individual challenges. Activities include fun cooking classes in Kul IN’s professional kitchen, movie nights, horseback riding, canoeing, and museum visits. Participants get to practice English while interacting with locals and learning about Croatia’s culture and history through these fun activities and short trips. As a class, we will take full-day trips to important Croatian cities and landmarks, including Zagreb, Plitvička Jezera National Park, and the Adriatic coast. Progam duration: 2 months
Hours per week: 16 (with optional exam preparation: 22) Optional English Exam Preparation offers focused English study for passing the TOEFL or Cambridge English Exam. This course can be added on to another English course at Kul IN. Students meet four times per week for 1.5 hours. The price is given per week of instruction and does not include the exam itself. Students may choose how many weeks of test preparation they wish to sign up for.
In order to place students into the correct class level, students are asked to answer a few questions during the application process. After sending in his or her application, each student is interviewed over Skype. This process not only helps our teachers meet the language needs of our students, but it helps the school choose activities that students will be interested in.
