The module, Academic Threshold Concept (Introduction to Master's Level Study), introduces you to the concepts and skills required for successful study of the Master's Programmes.
This is an online module, no attendance is required. To access the module you will be using a virtual learning resource on Moodle, the University of Kent's Virtual Learning Environment.

You develop and demonstrate skills in the following areas: the ability to communicate clearly in written formats in academic and professional workplace settings; manage complex information effectively and present this using a comprehensive range of learning resources; demonstrate a capacity for autonomous learning and the ability to access professional resources as appropriate.
By the end of the taught sessions you will be able to understand the academic concepts required to advance professional practice in regards to scholarship; apply conventions and techniques of academic writing to interpret knowledge and practice within a professional context; demonstrate the ability to apply academic concepts to advance professional knowledge and practice, and to develop new ideas through scholarship.
On successful completion of the module you will gain 15 credits.
For those external to the University of Kent and wishing to gain credits, the cost for the Module is £650.
