Who Is This Program For

At American English College (http://www.aec.edu/), our mission is to provide English as a Second Language (ESL) students with excellent, comprehensive, and affordable education in the English language for their personal success. Best suited for students who wish to improve their English as quickly as possible. This includes students seeking fluency for entry into a U.S. college, university or conversational use in a professional setting.

Program covers all of the major language skills including: grammar, vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation, listening comprehension, reading, and writing.

Minimum age of 16 years old.

All incoming students are required to take the English placement test for placement into the appropriate course level. Upon completion of each level, students will progress in a sequential manner through the program. To achieve your personal goals, students can consult with our academic student advisors on the recommended program length.

SEMI INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM

Who Is This Program For

Best suited for students with little to advanced proficiency who wish to learn English for half the day, with personal time to explore the city.

Program covers all of the major language skills including: grammar, vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation, listening comprehension, reading, and writing.

Minimum age of 16 years old.

All incoming students are required to take the English placement test for placement into the appropriate course level. Upon completion of each level, students will progress in a sequential manner through the program. To achieve your personal goals, students can consult with our academic student advisors on the recommended program length.

TOEFL PREPARATION PROGRAM

Who Is This Program For

Best suited for advanced students interested in progressing their English proficiency by improving their TOEFL score to meet or exceed US university entrance requirements.

All incoming students are required to take the English Placement Test for placement into the appropriate course level. Students must score a level 6B on the placement exam or have received a PBT TOEFL score of 450 or higher or equivalent to take this program. Otherwise, we recommend students to postpone this course until after they have completed ESL 6 and Advanced Conversation in the Intensive or Semi-Intensive English Program.
