Our IEP program is designed for students who would like to improve their English proficiency skills for personal, professional or educational reasons. Students who receive an I-20 from MSU and receive their F-1 Visa for the purposes of studying in our IEP program will have the required 18-20 hours of direct, face-to-face English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.
No TOEFL or IELTS scores are required to apply for the IEP at Morehead State University.
Please note that our IEP courses are also available to non-native English speakers who reside in the United States.

IEP Curriculum & Calendar
The IEP Calendar follows the Academic Calendar of Morehead State University. New students must make their travel arrangements to be on time for Check-in, Orientation and Placement Testing. Contact Amy Roe at 606-783-9305 for scheduling information.
ESL courses in the IEP are offered with a focus on grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking. There are three levels for each of these types of courses: beginning, intermediate and advanced.
