The ISAE Group is proud to present to you its Space Summer Program organized by the four institutes of high education: Ecole de L’Air, ESTACA, ISAE-ENSMA, ISAE-Supaero.

The Space Summer Program is intended for undergraduate students primarily for the ISAE Group partner universities. It will provide the students with an overall knowledge of aeronautics and space fundamentals, as viewed from a European point of view.

The contents include scientific and technical courses but also general conferences and visits to the aerospace and cultural sites.

The program is designed for junior or senior undergraduates with a strong interest in space having solid background knowledge in aeronautics and/or space sciences. A good background in general sciences is required. Graduate students can also take part in the course on a case-by-case basis.

This program will provide students with overall knowledge in space fundamentals from a European perspective.


Program information

60 class sessions, plus a 4 weekly four-hours project work "Atelier fil rouge", plus an equivalent of 60 more sessions for technical/cultural visits including the field trips between Paris-Saclay, Poitiers, Toulouse, and Salon de Provence.

Approximatively 132 hours of lecturing/tutored work/site visits. All courses are compulsory.

  • An average of 15 hours of lecture per week
  • Scientific and technical courses
  • Conferences
  • A 4-day workshop
  • Visits to the space industry
  • Cultural visits

4 intermediate written exams

Graduation Ceremony in Salon de Provence

Good to know: Courses take place from Monday to Friday. Saturday is free. Sunday is dedicated to transportation between the different sites.

Size of the group

This program is scheduled for a group of 25 students.


Courses and visits are performed in English.

Duration and Planning

The program extends over four weeks, from June 1th to 27th, 2020.

One week will be spent in each institute of the ISAE Group at ESTACA in Paris-Saclay, ISAE-ENSMA in Poitiers, ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse and ECOLE de l’AIR in Salon de Provence.


In accordance with U.S partner universities, the program could count up to 3 to 6 credits toward their home diploma for which formal accreditation by the relevant bodies is required.


The cost of this program for ISAE Group partner university student is 4500€. This includes pedagogic and administrative costs, visits, room and board ( breakfast and lunches on weekdays only) and transportation within France.

It does not include travel expenses from abroad to France and back.
