"Putting people at the strategic centre."
As business strategies change, the Human Resources function is faced with immense challenges. Building strong partnership skills with business leaders and managing complex change processes is increasingly critical.
This Human Resource Strategy programme is designed to give those who manage the people side of the business a winning advantage. The programme brings executives up to date with the latest thinking and research on key HR topics, such as how companies can manage cooperatively across boundaries and what it takes to build world-class 'signature processes'. At the same time, this programme significantly strengthens personal skill sets, creating aligned and living strategies as well as identifying areas for action.
This human resource strategy programme is led by Lynda Gratton, one of the world's leading experts on human resource strategy; this workshop-style programme creates an exciting and stimulating learning environment. The programme focuses on:
- How a vision for an organisation can be created by building on the six steps of the Living Strategy process
- How high energy and innovative organisations can be shaped and supported
- The role culture and values play in building and supporting both adaptable organisations, and committed and aligned employees
- How to maximise human resources – the role of employee choice
- How integrated human resources are implemented and how organisations manage change successfully.
The programme is based on specially designed case studies from leading organisations. A special feature is the Hot Spots simulation that enables participants to learn in an interactive and fast-moving simulated environment.
Before the programme begins, you'll receive a pre-programme diagnostic
questionnaire that helps you assess the current strengths and weaknesses of people practices in your organisation.
As this five-day human resource strategy programme progresses you work with a Learning Diary and a Learning Partner to develop a Living Strategy. Then, by thinking through the vision for your organisation, you're shown how to identify the positive steps you have to take in order to meet that vision, crafting a journey of change.
This Human Resource Strategy programme is designed for those with responsibility for the people side of the business; you could be a human resource director, a leader of a change programme, or a specialist human resource advisor. You will have responsibility for designing and implementing long-term strategies with strong people management elements. This programme is not appropriate for management consultants.
