Hospitality managers can supervise work in many areas of the hospitality, such as the front desk, sales and marketing, housekeeping, catering and food services, and conference planning. Hospitality manager jobs are expected to increase by 24 percent by 2012, according to the State of Illinois Occupational Employment Projections. Sample salaries are as follows:

Degree and Certificate
College of DuPage offers an associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree in Hospitality Management and certificates in Hospitality Foundations, Hospitality Operations, and Hospitality Sales and marketing, and Resort Management.
Chicago Skål Scholarship
Chicago Skål awards scholarships on an annual basis to currently enrolled students who are in degree programs in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality or related degrees. All schools must have a recognized minimum two- year program. Scholarships are in the amounts of $250 to $500 per semester based on academic merit and related courses with no regard to financial status, gender or race.
