Program Description

An INTO Mason Graduate Pathway in Psychology will prepare you to enter your next semester of a bachelor's degree program at George Mason University.

Upon successful completion of an INTO Mason Graduate Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your next semester of undergraduate study at George Mason University. This transition from an INTO Mason graduate pathway program to a university degree program is called progression.


Degree Program Components

2-Semester:

  • 32 credit hour program
  • 10-11 credit hours apply from Pathway
  • 21-22 credit hours remaining toward a degree

1-Semester:

  • 32 credit hour program
  • 7 credit hours apply from Pathway
  • 25 credit hours remaining toward a degree

Entry requirements

1-semester

  • Academic requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in psychology, cognitive sciences or human factors. 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent.
  • English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 85 (20+ subscores in reading and writing), IELTS 6.5 (6.5+ subscores in reading and writing), PTEA 58, Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 6, or IELA 176 (176 subscores in reading and writing).
  • Age requirements: 17 years and above.

2-semester

  • Academic requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in psychology, cognitive sciences or human factors. 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent.
  • English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 75 (17+ subscores in reading and writing), IELTS 6.5 (6.0+ subscores in reading and writing), PTEA 52, Password 7.0 Knowledge and 6.0 Writing, Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 5, or IELA 176 (169 subscores reading and writing).
  • Age requirements: 17 years and above.
