Program Description

Do you want to study for a graduate degree in the United States but need to improve English language skills or test scores? A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to a graduate degree program through a curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout the program.

What are the progression requirements to the university's graduate degree program?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following University of South Florida Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:

  • Minimum 3.25 GPA in Pathway
  • At least one A grade in core graduate courses, and no grade lower than B
  • No "I" or "W" grades
  • GRE 300(QV), 156Q

What are my degree options after completing the INTO Pathway?

You are guaranteed admission to the Master of Science in Industrial Engineering program at USF after successfully completing the Graduate Pathway in Industrial Engineering and meeting all progression requirements.

Fees: 2017-18: 2-Semester Pathway from $30,180; 1-Semester Pathway from $17,360

Entry requirements

Age: No minimum age but must have proof of high school graduation

Academic: 4-year undergraduate degree in Engineering with a 2.5 GPA and must have taken probability/statistics course(s) in undergraduate program, with passing grades

English language:

2-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 65-78, IELTS 5.5-6.0 (All subscores minimum 5.0), PTEA 44-52, completion of Academic English Level 5 or Password Test Level 6

1-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 79+, IELTS 6.5+, PTEA 53+
