Students who successfully complete an INTO Mason Graduate Pathway program in Data Analytics, are assured progression to a Mason graduate degree program upon submission of additional required application materials.

Upon successful completion of an INTO Mason Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your second semester of graduate study at George Mason University. This transition from an INTO Mason Pathway program to a university degree program is called 'progression'.

Entry requirements

1-semester

  • Academic requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in engineering, business, computer science, statistics, mathematics or information technology. A minimum of one semester of calculus, statistics and computer programming language is required for entry into this Pathway. 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent. Applicants may also demonstrate strong work experience with data or analytics instead of a related degree.
  • English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 75, IELTS 6.0, PTEA 52, Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 6, or IELA 169 Overall.
  • Age requirements: 17 years and above.

2-semester

  • Academic requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in engineering, business, computer science, statistics, mathematics or information technology. A minimum of one semester of calculus, statistics and computer programming language is required for entry into this Pathway. 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent. Applicants may also demonstrate strong work experience with data or analytics instead of a related degree.
  • English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 65, IELTS 5.5, PTEA 44, Password: 6.0 Knowledge and 5.0 Writing, Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 5, or IELA 162.
  • Age requirements: 17 years and above.
