Students are guaranteed progression to a graduate degree program through a curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout the program.

What are the progression requirements to the university's graduate degree program?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following University of South Florida Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:

  • Minimum 3.25 GPA in Pathway
  • At least one A grade in core graduate courses, and no grade lower than B
  • No "I" or "W" grades
  • GRE score: 161Q, 150V
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Statement of purpose

What are my degree options after completing the INTO Pathway?

International students are guaranteed admission to the Master of Science in Computer Science or the Master of Science in Computer Engineering program at USF after successfully completing the Graduate Pathway in Computer Science and Engineering and meeting all progression requirements.

Age: No minimum age but must have proof of high school graduation

Academic: 4-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics with a 2.5 GPA; Formal courses in Computer Architecture, Operating Systems and Theory of Algorithms with grades B or better; Programming proficiency in at least one high level programming language such as C, Java and/or C++ with formal courses and grades B or better

2-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 65-78, IELTS 5.5-6.0 (All subscores minimum 5.0), PTEA 44-52, completion of Academic English Level 5 or Password Test Level 6

1-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 79+, IELTS 6.5+, PTEA 53+
