Graduate ISSP: Science and Mathematics
The Graduate International Student Success Program (ISSP) is a two-semester program designed for students who have completed a bachelor's degree but who need or wish to have additional support to gain entry into a UMass Boston graduate degree program. The Graduate ISSP helps to bridge the gap in academic or English skills by offering a range of courses such as research methods and academic communication.
The College of Science and Mathematics delivers enhanced instruction, improves student success, and its undergraduate and graduate programs offer abundant opportunities to participate in independent, productive research.

- Progression requirements: B in all classes; 3.0 GPA minimum
- PMP credit hours applied to a degree: 3-6 credit hours (1-2 credit courses). The number of credits applied to a degree is subject to evaluation by the Graduate Program Department.
- Remaining credit hours to complete degree program: 24-30 credit hours
