“How do I get a job without experience and how do I get experience without a job?”

The GradDipIT addresses this catch-22 for both employers and students.

The GradDipIT has been developed to deliver what high growth IT and entrepreneurial companies want and need:

  • students with qualifications
  • experience
  • the personal and communication skills needed for employment.

The GradDipIT is for highly motivated students on a mission. They are already educated with a first degree, are committed to learning and have a strong motivation to become part of the ever growing ICT industry. Experience in an IT environment is integrated into the programme, culminating in the final 15 weeks with the industry project.

Programme STRUCTURE AND Delivery:

The GradDipIT is uniquely designed to provide an integrated approach to developing expertise as an IT Professional. Individual subjects taught are important, but more important is the way in which the subjects are integrated and interrelated through the Systems Development Integration courses that are held each term (SDI 1, SDI 2 and SDI 3).

Right from the beginning of the programme students experience the systems development process and learn to integrate and build on the other two papers presented each term. This ensures that students are very well prepared for their industry project.
