Teaching methods

The Business and Management module includes links with local businesses with an international focus, through lectures and site visits. The teaching structure comprises a mix of lectures, seminars and tutorials. This changes in Semester 2, with fewer formal classroom hours and more individual tutorials, to encourage independent study.

In Semester 2 you will research and write a 5,000-word extended essay. You will be supported by one of your teachers as a supervisor, which will prepare you for the dissertation you will write on your chosen postgraduate programme.

Who should apply for the Graduate Diploma programme?

The Graduate Diploma is suitable for international students who need an introduction to the study of a subject in preparation to study it at postgraduate level, or to upgrade qualifications if you have studied a 3 year Diploma in a relevant subject. The Graduate Diploma is also suitable for those that want to increase or update their subject knowledge or those that need to improve their English language study skills within the context of their chosen subject.
