If you left school without the skills, confidence or qualifications you now need, or want to improve your skills towards a future in higher education and employment – we have classes that will help you. Kensington and Chelsea College offers English and maths qualifications that will give you the skills you need for work, education and everyday life.
We offer qualifications to suit individual needs. The courses take place mornings, afternoons or evenings, on two sites, and at different levels. To find out more and to enrol, you need to come to one of our Advice and Guidance sessions and our staff will assess which is the right level course for you.
All of our courses run for a full academic year (from September to July) and at the end of the course you will complete your studies with an assessment in order to give you a recognised qualification.
Many of our students are coming back to study for the first time in years. Students will be taught in small friendly classes with a relaxed and informal atmosphere offering a mixture of group and individual work.
This stimulating level 2 qualification is for anyone with a good grounding in maths who needs a GCSE for employment, further study, teacher training or personal development. Topics covered include graphs and geometry, statistics and algebra. If you feel confident about your maths skills and want a qualification then this is the course for you. The course is suitable for those who have never taken GCSE before as well as those who have previously achieved a grade D. You will be required to take a test to make sure that you skills are right for a successful year’s study at this level.
GCSE English and Maths courses are free for all EU citizens who do not already have a GCSE grade A*-C
