Program Description
What is FI Helicopter
After your CPL(H) or PPL(H) it’s time to start your career. Why not begin with teaching others how to fly, it’s a great way to build hours and to improve your flying skills.
Theoretical Training
During the course, you will receive two weeks of ground school training where we will go through different teaching and learning techniques and student and instructor psychology. We will also get you familiar with the regulations that govern us as a school and you as a new instructor. You will also have to perform various lectures, briefings and de-briefings as an instructor.
Practical Flight Training
The flight training consists of 30 hours from the left seat and will be conducted on the Robinson R44 helicopter. The training is built on the PPL pilot syllabus where all manoeuvers will be performed, this time from the instructors’ perspective. Emergency training will be in great focus during the course, you will be trained in full-down autorotation with our experienced instructors.
Minimum Requirements
For a CPL pilot: at least 220 flight hours, out of which 100 hours has to be as PIC. For PPL pilot you need to have 200 hours as PIC and have met the requirements for the CPL theoretical training.
