This course is all about sound engineering and recording arts. Mixing modern technology with the more traditional skills, such as aligning and operating tape machines, using industry standard microphones and general studio skills required for industry practice supported by a good theoretical knowledge. Subjects covered include sound engineering and studio recording skills, advanced music production and listening skills, mixing & remixing, mastering, sound for moving image, acoustics & psychoacoustics, synthesis and sampling.

The minimum entry requirement for applicants with A levels/AS levels/ BTEC is 160 UCAS points plus a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths and English. Other similar qualifications may be considered on an individual basis.
