Complete an associate degree, college certificate, or up to 60 hours of transfer credit before high school graduation!
Fast Track is a joint partnership between Wallace State and a local school system which allows high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to complete up to two years of college coursework before high school graduation. All coursework is taken on Wallace State’s campus but students are still able to return to their local high school to participate in extracurricular activities.
To be eligible, students must:
- Have completed the 10th grade
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to enroll in Academic courses and 2.5 to enroll in Technical and Health courses
- Submit written recommendation from the local high school including approval of principal and superintendent
- Meet WSCC entrance requirements
- Complete placement exams
Cost of Program:
In most cases, students are responsible for paying college tuition. However, full scholarships may be available for certain programs. All textbooks for Fast Track students are provided by WSCC.
Fast Track Academy accepts applications each spring for students who plan to begin the following fall. Students interested in participating in Fast Track need to apply for admission to WSCC by completing the online admissions application. Students should also complete the Wallace State Fast Track Academy Application below and submit to his/her high school counselor by the deadline listed on the application. The high school counselor will then complete the recommendation portion of the application and submit to the Wallace State Fast Track Academy. Students will be notified of program acceptance in April.
