An introduction to the most contemporary version of the fashion buyer; the one finding the perfect sale format for mono brand stores and department stores, luxury boutiques and concept stores, bricks and mortar and e-commerce, focusing on clothing as well as all kinds of accessories.
The study plan features: Contemporary Fashion (system, trade fairs, designers, brands), Craft to Business (operations for textile, knitwear and leather goods), Fashion Buying (buying techniques, sales and retail management), Retail Concept (trends and formats, displays, multi-sensorial communication), Retail Marketing (consumer behaviour, shop management and performance).
You will have the opportunity to visit the Gucci and Ferragamo museums, attend a lecture given by a fashion industry expert and conduct an individual project. A one-on-one consultation about your personal potential and further study opportunities also forms part of the course.
Fashion Buying is the perfect first step on the fashion education path, ideally continued with the four-year undergraduate in Fashion Management or with the nine-month master in Luxury Retail Management.
