The Ephemeral Construction course will train you in the development of ephemeral construction projects for the audiovisual and film industry.
During the course you will enter the techniques and methodology of the discipline, knowing the different phases of the execution of a project of artistic direction of a cinematographic production.
You will learn to use state-of-the-art software, techniques and high quality materials that will open the doors to a multitude of job opportunities : you can work as a painter, carpenter, sculptor or textile technician in any decoration project and you can enter any branch of the world of show and entertainment such as television, opera, theater, theme parks, ephemeral architecture handicrafts, events, exhibitions, thematic venues, presentations, etc.
You will also be able to face the organization and management of work teams, budgets, and the material needs of any staging.
Who is it for?
Students who have studied carpentry, electricity, Fine Arts, architects, interior designers, etc.
It does not require a specific degree for access to the course.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- Build a space from a scenographic project.
- Manage and organize materials and construction team for the scenography of a feature film.
- Work as a builder on a decoration project.
- Understand the scenographic criteria for cinema and ephemeral construction.
- Understand and develop plans and explanatory drawings of a film project.
- Communicate properly the results of the construction process to the film's art director.
Theoretical teachings will always be given through practical work. In this way, at the beginning of the course the most technical classes will be taught and, little by little, the participation of the students in the projects will be increased. The projects that the construction students will execute are designed by the students of the art department. A single subject will be taught each day of the week.
