ESL - English as Second Language. The mission of the English as a Second Language Institute (ESLI) is that of teaching English to nonnative speakers of English. In this capacity, the ESLI aims primarily to equip students admitted to the undergraduate and graduate programs of Campbellsville University with the English skills necessary to function successfully within their chosen programs of study. The ESL program focuses on developing skills and proficiency in five areas: listening, listening, speaking, grammar and writing. These focus areas are taught at three levels: Beginning, Intermediate and Advance. The program is organized in Summer session (8 weeks) or Fall/Spring session (16 weeks).
