English Language Center

The English Language Center (ELC) at the University of Denver (DU) prepares students for academic success in Bachelors, Masters, and PhD programs at DU and other institutions of higher education.

For over 40 years, the ELC has offered international students a unique, supportive, and immersive educational experience.

English Conditional Admission

Are you worried about meeting the University of Denver's English proficiency requirement? You can still apply for Undergraduate Admission and you may be accepted to the University through English Conditional Admission (ECA). If you are accepted through ECA, you will be required to study at the English Language Center full-time until you successfully complete the Advanced Level

Students who fulfill their English proficiency requirements through the English Language Center will begin their degree program by successfully completing 12 credits in the LAUNCH Curriculum.
