The Cal State East Bay Small Business Development Center (SBDC), a partnership between Cal State East Bay, the Northern California Small Business Development Center Network and the U. S. Small Business Administration, offers classes, consulting services and business planning resources for small businesses throughout Alameda County. The Cal State East Bay SBDC is focused on developing and implementing programs and services that support small business growth and sustainable economic development. The East Bay SBDC offers numerous services to entrepreneurs and small business owners, including:
Classes: Low-fee courses tailored to fit entrepreneurs in any stage of the business development process, providing entrepreneurs and business leaders a way to learn and implement new strategies, skills and ideas across varied business disciplines.
Consulting: No-fee consulting services provided by business experts, Cal State East Bay faculty and MBA candidates who have both industry and functional expertise in critiquing business plans, financial projections, market research, marketing plans and business strategy.
Special Programs: Low-fee services geared towards specific industries or needs, including Restaurant Assessment and MBA Student Research programs.
Consulting services are offered to small businesses throughout Alameda County. We do not charge a fee for consulting services. Most clients will have annual sales of less than $10 million and will have fewer than 100 employees. Clients may be asked to take some classes before they receive consulting services so that they can make better use of the consulting input.
