Learn English as a Second Language

(half academic year or full academic year options available)

Certification: Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) units in English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL)

What will I learn?

You will follow a core programme of general English. You will take part in a range of activities to help you:

  • improve your English writing, reading, speaking and listening skills
  • improve your grammatical knowledge of English
  • improve your fluency and accuracy in English
  • encourage confidence in speaking and writing in English.

Entry requirements

This course is suitable if you are a beginner or have intermediate-level English language skills. You may need a Short-term Study Visa.

Start date: August 2018 or January 2019.

Duration: 18 weeks (half academic year) or 36 weeks (full academic year).

Hours per week: 16 hours.

Fee: £3,000 (half academic year) or £6,000 (full academic year)
