Description of the program
Our summer program encompasses intensive scientific courses and seminars, as well as practical workshops led by our experts. You will be able to study and work in a creative and inspiring environment, having free access to our cutting-edge technology (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC milling machines, etc.) and software.
You will also explore Paris, Lille and Brussels, international centers of technological innovation, and meet leaders of the European Maker Community.
Paris Montparnasse Lab/Weeks #1 & #2
Courses and workshops: Digital Manufacturing /Interactive & Algorithmic Design /Video Mapping /Prototyping /Image Processing /CNC /Survival French
+ Explore Paris like never before: startups, fablabs, and incubators, Versailles, Bateaux Mouches, Stand-Up Comedy Show, etc.
Lille Lab/Week #3
Courses and workshops: CAD/3D Printing/3D Modeling/Survival French/ Final Challenge
+ Discover old and modern Lille: fablabs, startups, and incubators, coworking spaces, la Citadelle, EuraTechnologies, le Vieux Lille, gastronomic stroll, day-trip to Brussels, etc.
Who can apply to our Summer School?
Applicants must have completed at least two years of studies in Science and Technology.
Our program is entirely taught in English: students must justify English language skills:
CECRL: B2 - IELTS: 5,5/6 - TOEFL iBT: 65
From July 1 to July 20, 2019
You already speak a little bit of French or you are a total beginner? Not a problem! From “Survival French” to “French for Engineers”, our Summer School’s French language classes are tailor-made and are held in small groups. You’ll improve fast and have great fun!
Cultural activities and site visits
At ESME Sudria, we think that students learn better and faster in a creative and fun environment. That is why, in addition to classes, our Summer School includes lots of cultural activities and inspiring visits to startups and innovative labs. You are in for a treat!
Participants earn 6 ECTS credits for the completion of this program.
Program fees: 2 200€
(including accommodation, tuition, French language classes, robot equipment, cultural & scientific, activities, breakfast & lunch on weekdays, public transport pass, train ticket Paris-Lille, round-trip transportation to Brussels, and much more!).
