Students who have a Diploma / Extended Diploma in Public Relations and Communication should be able to:

Curriculum for Diploma in Public Relations and Communication

Purpose: The aim of the qualification is to develop in the student the competency to plan, apply, implement and evaluate public relations and communication management practices in a variety of business and social contexts. The curriculum for the Diploma (Public Relations and Communication) programme consists of 25-semester modules compiled as follows:

Majors: Communication Management, Public Relations, and Media. *Experiential time for this qualification is .5.Curriculum for Extended Diploma in Public Relations and communication purposes: The purpose of this qualification is intended to develop in a student the competence to plan, apply and monitor public relations and communication activities in a variety of contexts.*Please note: Students in the first year of the extended Diploma must pass all the Modules, both the credit-bearing as well as the foundation modules, to be promoted to the second year of study.

Registration and Start Dates

Registration starts in January and lectures in February for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate course work programmes.

All research programmes for Masters and PhD can register throughout the year.

End Date: Academic starts in January and ends in December. Programme deadline is determined by the duration of the programme.
