In order for domestic students to receive Student Loan funding, students must enrol and complete one of the two strands. These diplomas are also available for International Students. Flight Instructor Strand This course is a Level 6, 253 credit qualification which is 82 weeks in duration. This course includes a CPL and either a Single or Multi Engine Instrument Rating as well as a C Category Flight Instructor Rating. This course would ideally suit those students that wish to pursue a career as a Flight Instructor or as a pathway to build hours towards an Airline Career. Airline Preparation Strand This course is a Level 6, 289 credit qualification which is 88 weeks in duration. This course will include a CPL, Multi Engine Instrument Rating as well as the ATPL theory and Airline Integration Course offered in conjunction with the Air New Zealand Aviation Institute School of Flight. This course would ideally suit those students that wish to pursue a career as an Airline Pilot. Intakes for all Diplomas commence in February and August of each year.
