Diploma Years students grow in maturity and are treated as young adults. Dorm staff, teachers, and faculty families assist in this “growing up” process. Students have a variety of weekend options as they are able to travel out of Leysin, subject to parental permission and good academic standing. Additionally, sports teams, skiing and snowboarding, arts and theater, weekend excursions, and activities are available to students. [+]
During these years, students map out their future course of study. Most students enroll in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, creating a strong learning environment for all during these important final high school years.
In Grade 11, students periodically meet with the university counselors. They are given advice on their university options, tested for aptitude and preference and are helped with the application process by three specialized staff members. Students in grades 11 and 12 will also be able to attend presentations from over 100 universities on campus and at major university fairs nearby.Becoming a young adult
