Hunter TAFE is offering a unique English and IT (Networking) pathway package. You can choose to do the courses individually or combined them for a ‘package’ which saves you money and guarantees you a placement.

Certificate III to Diploma Information Technology (Networking) package – AUD$22,000:00 a saving of AUD$1,460:00

Semester 1 - English classes (If required)

Hunter TAFE is home to the award-winning Newcastle English Language Centre. This Centre operates 51 weeks of the year with a full range of study options available to all students, even those on visas other than student visas.

This program will run for 20 weeks for a discounted price AUD$5000:00 (AUD$250:00/week)

The program includes:

  • English for Exam Preparation.
  • Cambridge First Certificate (FCE).
  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
  • IELTS Preparation.
  • General English Beginners to Advanced.
  • English for Academic Purposes.

Entry level for this product is a minimum IELTS 4.5 OR Equivalent

Please note: Our English Language Centre can assess English proficiency prior to enrolment.

Semester 2 - Certificate III Information, Digital Media and Technology (Network Administration)

This course is for people who want be competent in a wide range of general information and communications technology (ICT) technical functions and to achieve a degree of self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT user.

Persons working at this level will support information technology activities in the workplace across a wide range of ICT areas. This course provides you with the opportunity to develop specific skills in Network Administration.

Individual course cost: AUD$7,000.00

6 Month program.

Entry level for one of the three Certificate III qualifications is a minimum Academic IELTS 5.5.

Semester 3 – Certificate 4 in Information Technology Networking

This course is for people who want to be competent in the installation and management of small scale networks, either as an independent network support technician or as part of a team.

Individual course cost: AUD$10,000:00

6 Month program.

Entry for the Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking is Certificate III Information, Digital Media and Technology (Network Administration)

Semester 4 - Diploma of Information Technology Networking

This course is for people who want to be competent in managing. as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team. the installation of a range of networks including internetworking. security and/or e-business.

6 Month program.

Individual course cost: AUD$6,660:00

Entry for the Diploma of Information Technology Networking is Certificate 4 in Information Technology Networking
