You can also run three-year-old kinder programs in registered kindergartens or progress to university-level studies, including Melbourne Polytechnic’s Bachelor of Early Years Studies or Bachelor of Education (Early Years).

International Students Entrance Requirements

Academic: Australian Year 12 equivalency or higher. English Language: Academic IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 in Speaking and Listening, or recognised equivalency. Specific: Applicants must provide a 300-500 word written statement outlining any experience in child care (voluntarily, informally, or as employment) and the reasons why they want to study this course. Experience with children preferred. Prior to commencing placement, students will need to obtain a satisfactory police check and Victorian Working with Children Check (to be completed in Australia upon arrival).
