Introduction
Program Objective
To prepare trainees for a leading management position in Supply Chain, and to achieve this objective, trainees are taught the fundamental concepts and the latest innovations and discuss various case studies of implementations of Supply Chain Management.
Objectives
The Supply Chain Major aim is to provide the trainees with the ability to:
The major building blocks, major functions, major business processes, performance metrics, and major decisions (strategic, tactical, and operational) in supply chain networks.
The role of Internet Technologies and Electronic Commerce (ITEC) in supply chain operations and to discuss technical aspects of key ITEC components in supply chain management.
The role of stochastic models (Markov chains, queuing networks); optimization models (LP, ILP, MILP, GA, Constraint Programming); and simulation in supply chain planning and decision making.
This will provide the foundation for design and analysis of supply chains.
