Course - Graphic and Digital Design
Design your future.
You’ve always had an eye for powerful images: the unforgettable album cover, an epic movie poster, or those iconic logos recognized the world over. You’re a creative wizard and computer guru, the first person friends and family turn to for help with those momentous wedding invitations, show posters for the band, or promo materials for a new business. Are you ready to turn those natural talents into a lucrative career in the creative arts?
Our Graphic & Digital Design program gives you the skills and competitive edge needed to become a sought-after entrepreneur in this booming industry. New media is constantly introducing alternative outlets for artistic expression. And today, the value of someone who holds mastery over the latest design suites has never been higher. Get there through the Centre for Arts and Technology.
Our instructors own or work with many of the leading design firms in North America. They’re not just going from muscle memory — our team remains immersed in the latest trends and current standards of the field, giving students the practical training they’ll need in a real work environment.
You’ll learn the same software programs used on a daily basis in today’s top studios, becoming a master of suites such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, ActionScript, Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, Premiere, and After Effects, while covering broader industry topics such as branding, marketing, and typography.
Graduates go on to launch their own design firms or join the creative teams at a number of emerging and established companies, such as Crema Communications, Spincaster, Morningstar Interactive, Get to Know Program, Twin Creek Media, Promark Design, Graphically Speaking, Media Button, and Ginger Design.
You leave with a polished portfolio demonstrating the asset you’ll be to any firm in the industry. With hard work, determination, and a good deal of imagination, you could jump into any of these fulfilling careers:
- Graphic Designer
- Creative Director
- Interactive Designer
- Production Designer
- Multimedia and Web Designer
- Arts Manager/Administrator
