This program - Computer Business Application Specialist - Accountinghelps develop fundamental computer, office administration and professional business skills.
Emphasis is placed on learning operating systems, discovering what the Internet is all about, and gaining in-depth knowledge of the most popular word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software applications in use today. Furthermore, superior professional skills are developed – those which are highly sought after by all employers.
Graduates of this program will be able to administer computer application systems to meet the functional objectives of a business.
Successful graduates will be ideally suited for positions in small to medium-sized companies where an individual with superior software application skills is required.
This program helps students prepare for Microsoft Office
Specialist (MOS) certification.
• Grade 12 or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years of age and one year out of high school).
• Passing score on the entrance examination.
In order to graduate and receive a diploma, a student must obtain an average of at least 60% in each course of the program.
A student must complete the hours of the Career and Employment Strategies course and the Practicum/Work Experience in order to graduate and receive a diploma.
