The Oil & Gas Administration program facilitates the development of clerical skills including keyboarding, computer skills, oral and written communication, office organization, interpersonal skills, and industry-related terminology and practices. The 1,000-hour program combines lectures, hands-on learning via practical exercises, projects and exams, on-line progress checks for immediate feedback, courseware that is easy to understand and proceed through on your own, customisable learning paths, and group discussions.
The Oil & Gas Administration performs a variety of duties in today’s Petroleum-related offices. Graduates of this program may pursue employment with confidence in large companies that require specialized skills or smaller companies that require knowledge of all areas.
• Grade 12 or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years of age and one year out of high school).
• Passing score on the entrance examination.
Note: Advanced Credit may be given for prior education upon submission of transcripts. Challenge tests may be administered.
In order to graduate and receive a diploma, a student must obtain an average of at least 60% in each course of the program.
A student must complete the hours of the Student Success Strategies and Career and Employment Strategies courses for the program.
