Full Time students at Level 5 will study a total of 120 compulsory credits during the 2014-2015 academic year. Please note that, if you plan to study part-time, you will normally take the 'TC' modules in your first part-time year, and the 'TH' in your second.

Old and New Testament:Psalms and Luke
Combines traditional exegetical skills and theological reflection and also engages with contemporary questions. Examines the dimensions of the divine-human encounter in the poetry of Psalms and in Luke’s reporting of Jesus’ life and work.
Scripture, Exegesis and Hermeneutics
The process of reading ancient biblical texts; the study of particular passages from different genres within OT and NT; examination of some key fallacies and dangers in biblical exegesis and interpretation, among others.
The Person and Work of Christ
Looking at the person and work of Christ from a systematic / theological perspective, which includes understanding NT christologies; developing a relational conception of sin, understanding the dynamics of sacrifice and understanding atonement theories.
Ministry and Teaching of Jesus
This module looks at the person and work of Jesus from a biblical perspective.
Develops the biblical foundations of counselling and the REMA model, drawing upon other psychotherapeutic modalities and theological perspectives in an integrative manner.
A practical module designed to introduce advanced skills and enhance the professional skills of students as they develop into counsellors.
This integrative module deepens its focus on spirituality and its impact / application for personal and spiritual growth. It allows the student to experience the spiritual journey within the Christian tradition, and consider the relationship between spirituality and sexuality, and the psycho-spiritual approach to counselling. Personal awareness is fostered through personal counselling and groups, which are led by a facilitator and involve reflective process and a variety of practical / creative / spiritual tasks.
