This program is tailormade for the motivated and self-disciplined future pilots. In the end of this course you will be ready to step in a JET AIRLINER as B737NG/A320 [+]

Welcome To the beginning of your journey... Stockholm Flight Academy started as a project 2013 by a dedicated team of aviation professionals such as Airline Pilots, Instructors and other essential personnel. Since then the academy has grown into a fully functional EASA Approved Training Organization. We have a large variety of different experiences and that, we believe, is the key to a successful organization. SFA is today mainly based at Stockholm Västerås Airport. Other training centers include Stockholm Arlanda Airport. We’re pleased to offer high standard student accommodation in connection to the training center. We can offer shared accommodation to fully furnished one-bedroom apartments. All-inclusive is a common term in our organization. One of our key principles is to assist the student with all the necessary arrangements outside the training itself. Why? So the student can focus on what really matters: the flight training. Contact us and we’d be happy to tell you more about our academy and why we should be your first choice. AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT From zero to frozen ATPL license. This is a fulltime program that takes you from 0 flight hours until you receive your own frozen ATPL, which is what you need to fly for an airline. Our program also includes Jet Orientation Course (JOC), Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Airline Prep Course (APC). After completion of the program, you are then eligible to apply for a position at an airline. Pre-Entry Requirements: Medical Class 1 English level B Mathematics level B Physics level B SFA Pilot Assessment SFA Pilot Assessment is our main tool in the admission process. It is comprised of several tests including, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Physics, English and Aptitude. Aircraft Piloting

Estonian Aviation Academy
Campus Full time 4 years August 2017 Estonia Ülenurme

After successfully passing the theoretical knowledge examinations and rating flights the pilot-trainees receive the Commercial Pilot Licence/Instrument Rating (CPL(A)/IR). [+]

The standard period of study is four years. The training course of aeroplane piloting is based on the programme developed pursuant to the Joint Aviation Requirements – Flight Crew Licensing (JAR-FCL 1). During the first two years the main focus is on basic aviation studies and the last two years are devoted to acquiring the theoretical knowledge of piloting followed by flying training. In flying training the aircraft used are the one-engine Cessna-172 and the multi-engine Piper Navajo. Part of the flying training takes place on the computer based simulator - FNPT II/MCC (flight and navigation procedures and multi-crew cooperation trainer). At the initial stage of flying practice the students learn the basic phases of a flight (take-off, level flight, turns, landing, etc), acquire the skills in en-route flying in visual flight conditions and get acquainted with the principles of instrument flight. The theoretical and ground preparation continues simultaneously with flying training. In the next phases of flying training the main focus is on daytime and night instrument and en-route flights, and on instrument flights in complicated weather conditions. The students learn to navigate and land in the conditions of limited visibility. Training flights are made to various aerodromes, including the other countries such as Finland, Sweden, etc. Simulator training is used to learn multi-crew cooperation the competence of which will in the future offer an advantage in finding a job in present day commercial aviation. After successfully passing the theoretical knowledge examinations and rating flights the pilot-trainees receive the Commercial Pilot Licence/Instrument Rating (CPL(A)/IR). The graduates in the speciality of Aeroplane Piloting can find work in aviation companies both in Estonia and abroad, e.g. in Estonian Air Force, the Police and Border Guard Aviation Group, Estonian Air, the Estonian Civil Aviation Administration and in other companies. Helicopter Piloting The standard period of study is four years. The training is based on the programme developed pursuant to JAR-FCL 2. Piloting training comprises theoretical studies and practical flying training. During the last two years the theoretical studies are carried out simultaneously with the flying practice. The new contemporary helicopter Robinson R22 is used for flying training. This is one of the most common of small type of helicopters but is distinguished due to its best dynamics and high reliability. Flying practice includes familiarisation flights with Cessna 172 and multi-crew cooperation training on the computer-based simulator FNTP II/MCC. The training of helicopter pilots follows the respective international requirements and is based on modern teaching methods. The graduates in the speciality of Helicopter Piloting are employed by Estonian Air Force, the Police and Border Guard Aviation Group, Estonian Aviation Academy and by private companies. The course for aviation engineers lasts for four years and the volume of studies is 240 ECTS credits. The study process falls into three phases: - Basic studies last for three semesters (90 ECTS). The course consists of lectures and practical training, and serves as the foundation for an academic degree course. The studies are carried out in co-operation with the University of Tartu and Estonian University of Life Sciences. - Basic aviation studies last for one semester (30 ECTS). Specialization begins after the completion of the course in basic aviation studies and falls into two stages: 1. Basic professional training and 2. Speciality training. Special courses (up to 120 ECTS) last for four semesters. The studies are carried out in co-operation with Tallinn University of Technology and the practical training in co-operation with different aviation enterprises and institutions in Estonia and abroad. To graduate from the Academy the students have to write a graduation thesis and pass the exams depending on the speciality chosen. The language of instruction at EAVA is the Estonian language except for the joint courses offered to ERASMUS students which are carried out in the English language. [-]
