Possibly one of the oldest natural sciences, Physics is concerned with matter and its motion through spacetime with special attention to concepts of mechanics, light, heat and other radiation, magnetism, sound, electricity and atomic structure. Physics is a branch of fundamental science, not a practical science. Thus, Physics courses will often be a prerequisite for other natural science courses like Geology, Chemistry, Biology or Astronomy.
