Universities and colleges set their own admission requirements for higher education courses, so they vary broadly. Depending on the course, students may be able to get into higher education with a range of qualifications. If you're applying to do a course, you may find that work experience is taken into consideration alongside any qualifications you have. Some higher education institutes and colleges offer courses as preparation for a certain type of degrees. They usually don't result in separate criteria as they simply qualify you to enter the degree program itself. Courses can be taught in a broad selection of fields of study.

Although formally two different programs Hispanic Studies Course (CEH) and Spanish Language and Culture Course (CLCE) act as one because they are not a matter of choice but one of actual level of Spanish language. In other words, the requirement to enroll in CEH is to have and advanced command of the language, whereas you only need to be an intermediate Spanish learner to be accepted in CLCE. If you want to study Spanish in Granada, the Hispanic Studies Course is aimed at students and professionals who wish to acquire a deeper knowledge of Spanish language and culture. This course offers a wide variety of subjects taught by specialists from the University of Granada. Students must already have a high command of Spanish to be able to follow these subjects (i.e. have passed level B2.1 (CLM - 6 Advanced)). For this reason, CLM always recommends students to take an Intensive Spanish Language Course (CILE) before beginning the Hispanic Studies Course. The CEH Course is taught in two periods - from October to December (Fall) and from February to May (Spring). Students can choose the first period, the second period or both (the Complete Hispanic Studies Course). Students in this course can choose four or five subjects offered by CLM for each period. One of these subjects may be a Modern Language Course offered by CLM. Depending on students' needs and the length of their stay in Granada, they can take some of the subjects from the Optional January Course. Each... [-]
