Are you a budding journalist? Introduction to Journalism examines the key journalism practices and procedures of journalism and reportage. This free online journalism course looks at how to identify a newsworthy story, how to research a story and how to conduct interviews in order to elicit the information you need to prepare a fair and balanced news report. You will learn about feature writing, how to write an engaging feature story, the different types of features, the four parts of an editorial and the different approaches to editorial titles. This course also looks at ethics in journalism and how to avoid conflicts of interest.
