Global climate change is mainly caused by emissions arising from our daily energy use. “Think globally, act locally” is necessary to trigger urgent and drastic changes. Energy use and solutions are local, but markets and technologies are global. Finding feasible pathways to transform energy systems poses huge challenges for all of us. - On the one hand, drastic change requires fresh ideas, new ways of approaching problems and the discovery of unexplored paths. - On the other hand the solid laws of physics and eternal endeavours of human beings constrain freedom of action. The Postgraduate of Energy and Climate is innovative. The lectures focus on energy for the future: energy efficiency and renewable energy are studied from the energy end-use and services perspective. But the future is also uncertain: debated policy topics are covered by two lecturers, diverging in analysis and proposed solutions. The programme furthermore focuses on our common future: it invites a broad audience, from non-technical scholars to certified engineers, who are all eager to learn about new perspectives and approaches for addressing energy and climate issues. Course Studies in Germany 2017. The Human Body: Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care - Advanced Professional Development [Level HE6] part-time This course is for anyone who requires an introduction to human anatomy and physiology or to refresh and deepen the knowledge of those who are more experienced in anatomical and physiological studies. You should note that, whilst little anatomical and physiological knowledge is required to undertake this module, it is fast moving and will quickly progress to a relatively complex level. You will study all aspects of the human body and how it functions starting with a detailed study of cells as the body’s building blocks and moving on to consider organs and organ systems. The role that each organ plays in that organ system and within the body as a complete unit will be considered. Each topic will commence with a basic overview of the given gross structures then the function of those structures will be explained. Finally, the physiology that is associated with that system will be examined. You will consider topics that relate to the main systems of the body, namely, the nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, muscular skeletal, urinary, reproductive and integumentary systems. Lectures will be used to introduce you to basic concepts and to overview the entire curriculum content. These will be augmented with specifically designed study packs that are designed to promote both understanding and retention of knowledge. In addition, you will study a number of models of anatomical structures so that you can relate your theoretical knowledge to a real three dimensional structure. It is recognised that study of the human body is a complex subject and this fact will be kept in view during your studies, ensuring support is central throughout the course of study. In addition, a range of online material will be used to help cement student understanding. These will take the form of short units of study that will support classroom study and aid with revision. Professional recognition Mapping of the learning outcomes of this course against the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) is currently underway. Entry requirements Applicants must have an appropriate health and social care related qualification (e.g. registered nurse; assistant practitioner; allied health professional; paramedic) [-]

The ability to effectively influence clients, colleagues, employees and superiors is a critical aspect of being an effective manager. For this reason, companies today increasingly seek to hire executives with razor-sharp communication skills, as well as strong analytical abilities.
