Electronics Technician Program The title of this program, Electronics Technician, may be a bit intimidating to the average person but for someone who likes working with their hands, this hands-on training program can be the foundation for a rewarding career. Applicants with no prior knowledge in the field of electronics have been very successful in completing the program. The program consists of three modules: Basic Electricity and Analog Electronics Digital Electronics and Smart Technologies Computer Repair and Networking These modules cover instruction on the subjects of basic electricity, basic electronics, basic digital, micro processors, personal computers and networking, wireless communications, High Definition TV, and Introduction to Renewable Energy Resources. The curriculum for the Electronics Technician course is designed to provide the graduate with the skills necessary to enter the work force as an entry level Electronics Technician, capable of installing and servicing a wide range of electronic equipment such as personal computers, laptop computers, computer printers, photo copy machines, access control systems, networking systems, medical equipment, and wireless communications devices. A variety of industries provide opportunities for employment to technicians with these skills. Ask yourself this question: What products can you name that don’t use electricity or electronics to function? For almost 31 years, Bay State’s “Hands-On” training has worked for thousands of students. Half of the students’ time in school is in the classroom learning the theory, and the other half is spent in the workshops gaining “Hands-On” experience. Students receive a laptop computer and training on how to use it as a learning tool. The cost of the laptop is included in the tuition and the student will own it at the end of his program. In addition, all students will receive preparation and training to take a National Service Certification test, offered by the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET), and preparation for A-Plus Certification. Bay State graduates are well received by employers who often come to the school to recruit graduates from the Electronics Technician course in MA.
