Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University on behalf of the Institute of Energy and Transport System presents its new International Energy Technologies Summer School. The Summer School aims at bringing a very broad range of Energy Technology’s aspects and giving a great cultural experience to participants. The School provides the opportunity to attend intensive academic programme which is composed of lectures in Turbomachinery, Combustion Technology, Kryo-Technology, Electrotechnology and Innovation Management in Industry conducted by experienced European technical university’s scientists. By the end of the School the knowledge is applied to the course Engineering of Thermal Power Plants. The excursion to a modern Power Plant is also included to the Summer School programme. All studies are developed according to the European requirements and can be recognized as a period abroad. Chemistry makes a major contribution to the needs of society. We will use a variety of teaching methods – lessons with interactive smart board, demonstrations, group work, presentations, workshops and research. The new AQA linear A Level Chemistry course will be taught in 2015. This means that students will sit all of their exams at the end of the second year. Here are some of the topics we cover: Atomic structure Moles, bonding and periodicity Organic Chemistry Energy, kinetics Thermodynamics and much more.
