The Children & Young People’s Workforce (QCF) - Level 2 Course is for students who want to work in the childcare sector. The course is suitable for anyone wishing to start a career in childcare and it provides a starting point to the formal qualifications required for working in this sector.

It provides an ideal route into a career in child care and results in a fully recognised qualification which enables students to work competently in a supervised capacity within a child care setting.

On successful completion, students will receive the Children and Young People’s Workforce level 2 Certificate Qualification with 35 credits issued.

Please Note: Because this is a competence based qualification, students will need to have a placement in a child care setting in which to gather evidence of skills and learning, and you will need to nominate a workplace supervisor qualified to level 4 or above in childcare, who will oversee your practical evidence gathering. a work placement of at least 50 hours is recommended to complete this option....
