This unique two-week course in the U.K., for boys and girls (14-18 years), will give an insight into what it is like to work within the aviation industry. They will experience many aspects of life as a pilot, including flying lessons on light aircraft, Boeing 747 simulator, and emergency training with British Airways. Also visits to aviation museums, airline headquarters as well as some exciting recreational activities, sightseeing in London and Cardiff. The students will stay in the halls of residence of Brunel University in London, where they will also have English lessons most days. There will be some talks with pilots and other airline professionals as well. This is a really good way to help young people to decide whether or not they would like a career in aviation and is a wonderful experience for the participants. The British Aviation Experience - Teenage package (Age 14 to 18) A unique two week aviation course in the United Kingdom Pilot Flight Training (3 Hours of Flight) Each student will have three flying lessons of 1 hour on different days* The flying school is fully approved to teach pilots for the European (EASA) Private Pilot's Licence and Light Aircraft Pilot Licence. All ground school, pilot flight training and flight tests required are conducted by the flight school at the airfield by professional instructors and flight examiners dedicated to providing high quality training. Modular courses at FTA allow students to take individual modular courses as and when they desire, as opposed to all at once. This still enables you to go from Zero to Frozen ATPL. Module Details: Multi Engine Piston Rating (MEP): Overview: this course will enable students to fly an aircraft with more than one engine, and must be completed before taking the ME IR course. We offer MEP Rating training on the Diamond DA42 and the Piper PA23 Aztec. Duration: 6 hours flight time and a minimum of 7 hours theoretical studies. Examination: a theory exam and a flight test. The new and improved Economy Integrated Flight Deck Programme allows students to go from little or no flying experience to "Frozen ATPL" in approximately 16 months. We have identified savings without compromising quality, simply by moving three months of flight training to our satellite base in Teruel, Spain (near Valencia). [+]

Based at our training centre located at Brighton City Airport and our new satellite base in Teruel, Spain (near Valencia) our Economy Integrated Flight Deck Programme is a full time flight-training programme, which takes students from little or no flying experience to a “Frozen ATPL” in approximately 16 months. Once all theory and ground school is complete, students go to Teruel to carry out the first three flight phases in a Piper PA28 aircraft, before coming back to the UK to complete the advanced phases. This has allowed us to create a £10,000 reduction in price on the standard course. It is identical to the standard integrated course in all other cases. Upon successful competition of the course, students will be eligible to apply for a First Officer Role at any commercial airline.
