Distance education or distance learning is a way of delivering education and instruction, often on an individual basis, to students who are not physically present on campus.

When producing a 3D film, you will be using software and 3D characters instead of film cameras and actors. First year - The 3D craft The first year of 3D Film Production is identical to 3D Design and Animation. You can still apply directly for this two-year study program; 3D Film Production. To be good at something you need continuous training, and 3D Design and Animation is no exception. In this course we start building, or modeling, very simple objects in 3D. We then texturize, or paint these objects, before finally lighting and completing them. Thereafter, it is back to modeling again, but this time with greater complexity. Again, we do more texturing and lighting, and we also increase the levels of detail and complexity. The same process is repeated over and over again, but with even more refinement each time. That way, we are able to slowly but surely, progress from the production a simple object like a cup, on to more complicated objects, such as a human figure. The next challenge is to construct these characters’ movements in a manner that is believable. Once more, the aim is to strive towards greater complexity as we focus on advanced 3D figures of human beings. If you are able to sculpt a human, you can basically create... [-]

A visually innovative and sales-promoting field New products that get launched continuously, or pre-existing ones that need a redesign of their visual identities to maintain their sales, defines today’s consumer market. This includes everything from food to clothing items, movies to music, household goods to computers, banking to transportation. They all compete for the consumer’s attention, and for any businesses to exist, it is important that their products or services are the consumers’ preferred choice. Would you like to work with CAD modelling? As a CAD operator you work on modelling and drawing structures such as buildings, products, or mechanical devices. You work in teams with architects and engineers who are responsible for drafting solutions and calculations. A specialist field in growth Technical Design with CAD (Computer Assisted Design) is a living specialized field that demands that you comprehend both software and the technological knowhow. There is a huge shift in the industry going from 2-dimensional (2D) drawings and into 3-dimensional (3D) models, especially in regards to Architectural and Mechanical designs. Mechanical constructors and architects are large consumers of the digital tools used for drawings and visualizations. The need for efficient and competent CAD-operators is ever growing and expanding as a result. We co-operate with some of the world’s biggest distributor of construction software – Autodesk. The course teaches the following Autodesk software: AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit and 3Ds Max. Learning outcomes Many of our students partake in this course as a supplement to an existing career, some take advantage of a slow job marked to develop new skills, while others get an advantage for further studies within architectural- or engineer degrees. Students coming from secondary schools, such as carpentry, may transfer their knowledge further into construction, a mechanic or welder may want to pursue a career in mechanical design or even offshore. Technical design with CAD comprise both architectural- and mechanical construction, this way you can choose the path that is best for you. Thanks... [-]
