The English for Academic Purposes is assessment based. There is no final exam, but like many university courses, your final scores are an average and amalgamation of your entire work for the course. English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a learner-centered approach to teaching English that focuses on developing communicative competence in a specific area such as: accounting, aviation, business, IT, teaching, engineering, medicine and so on. Learners are also exposed to English workplace cultural terminologies and real world English skills practice.

ESP programmes are different from general English language courses as they tend to focus on specific areas and needs:
